INTERNATIONAL DISC

INSTITUTE

We are a non-profit organization devoted to the research, validation, certification and promotion of DISC Methodology

WHAT IS DISC

DISC is a behavioral language and assessment tool, categorizing four aspects of behavior: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance, to improve work productivity, teamwork, and communication.

WHY DISC

DISC helps in recognizing and understanding personal behavior styles. It's key for effective communication, personal development, and building stronger, more understanding relationships.

FOR WHAT DISC

Utilized in both personal growth and professional development. Enhances self-awareness, improves team dynamics, aids in conflict resolution, and strengthens interpersonal relationships.

William Moulton Marston

William Moulton Marston was a renowned psychologist, inventor, and comic book writer, best known for creating the character Wonder Woman. He held a Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard and was a professor at American University. His diverse career reflected his interest in understanding and depicting human behavior.

Marston developed the DISC theory in the 1920s, focusing on four primary emotions and associated behavioral responses. His work emphasized understanding emotional behavior to better manage people and relationships, laying the groundwork for the modern DISC assessments used in various sectors today.

Much more than a simple assessment...

In the workplace, DISC becomes a valuable compass for managers and teams. It allows leaders to adapt their management strategies to the individual styles of their collaborators, fostering a more harmonious and productive work environment. For individuals, the self-awareness provided by DISC is fundamental for personal growth, helping to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and how to interact effectively with others.

The applicability of the DISC methodology extends beyond corporate boundaries. In the field of coaching and personal development, it offers deep insights that guide people in improving their interpersonal relationships, conflict management, and the development of more effective communication skills. In education, it helps teachers better understand the needs of their students and adapt their teaching methods accordingly.
